These rhyming activities are meant to compliment your study of the book, The Girl Who Thought in Pictures, The Story of Temple Grandin. As a girl Temple always knew that she was different. Temple has Autism and she has achieved many things in life embracing her uniqueness!
The story is written in prose and has several rhyming words in each page. These activities are easy and simple activities for working with this book and rhyming words.
There is one activity where the students must simply match the rhyming words.
Another activity has the students looking through the book themselves to discover rhyming words on their own.
The third activity is a matching game. Simply print those pages back to back and cut the cards out and you have a rhyming matching words game with the words from the story.
All of these activities would be great for center work while using this book for whole class learning.
I hope you and your class enjoy these activities!
