Here is a whole class set of Rhyming Bingo 2!
For those of you who bought and enjoyed my original Rhyming Bingo game – whole class set and for those of you have not tried it, yet.
Rhyming helps early readers.
The game is a great way to have students practice rhyming, phonemic awareness, and ultimately with learning to read! My students love to play it!
This game, with 20 new rhyming word pairs, has 22 full-color cards – all hand drawn and with 16 pictures per card.
At the end of the pdf file are 2 pages with 20 word cards to cut apart and use for ‘calling’ the bingo game. These words are green so they won’t get mixed up with the blue set from the previous game.
Print and laminate … or if you don’t have access to a laminator, slide each page into a plastic sleeve to protect it.
When I use this game with kindergarteners for the first time, I sometimes need to ask students to volunteer to help us find each rhyming picture. I usually play ‘black out’ so that the game lasts longer and so that students get more practice with rhyming.
For more rhyming practice, check out my Rhyming Dominoes for use with a small group or as a learning center activity … or my Word Wheels which provide rhyming practice with word families.
