Rhyming Passages and Activities

This pack includes 30 rhyming passages to use with your early readers who are working on rhyming words. Each passage includes three pairs of rhyming words. A matching set of rhyming word cards is also included for each passage. The cards can be used with the suggested word card activities, that are included.

These passages work great in small groups, one-on-one or sent home for extra help. If you have students who need help with rhyming words, this is a great way to get them to practice rhyming words in and out of context.

Covers for a folder of rhyming passages is also in the file. A note for parents is included too, if you wish to send these home.

Rhyming success is a huge predictor of the ability to learn how to read. The goal of this pack is to assist early readers in their rhyming abilities and, in turn, their reading skills as well.
