Teach rhyming with silly names!
Turn upside down with by Audrey Wood. Read this piece of literature and then have your children collage themselves upside down with a new silly rhyming name! They write their new name on a recording sheet to glue onto a large piece of construction paper with their collage.
There are three different recording sheets to select from. One uses the children's made-up silly names such as Linda Minda! Another choice lets the children decide how they are going to town instead of walking. And the last choice lets them decide where they would like to go instead of to town. Fun brainstorming activities!
