Product Description

Are you looking for some teacher designed, phonemic awareness activities that your students will love? This resource contains three game sets for practicing rhyming words, that can be used in many ways. Kids will love the friendly Halloween theme.

This set has enough teacher designed, high quality small group and literacy activities to keep your students rhyming for the whole month of October.

Everything comes in Color and in Black and White.

You will receive:

Four sets of friendly Halloween character match up rhyming word cards - 36 pairs in all. These can be used for a match up game or a memory type game if you copy two sets of the characters.

Two sets of clip style task cards. These cards have the choices yes and no. Students decide if the words illustrated on the card rhyme, and then clip a clothespin to their answer choice of yes or no. A recording sheet and answer key is provided.

BONUS! FREE! Two sets of picture cards of all 36 rhyming pairs. One set is picture only and the other has the word along with the picture. These can be used to teach any vocabulary with which your students may not be familiar. This is especially helpful with ESL, ELL students.

To differentiate instruction for students who have a good understanding of rhyming, put the pictures in a container and have students pull out a picture. The student should say a word or two that rhyme with the picture he or she pulled out. You can also play this game with the match up cards.

Game boards are also included to use with the Halloween character cards and the task cards. The directions are printed on the game boards.
