rhyming words onsets and rimes
Here's an activity that will help students read, write and rhyme CVC words!
Just print, laminate and cut and you are all ready to teach!
This activity was designed for small group instruction or as a literacy center activity.
Student or teacher reads the first word at the top of the card. Then they will change the beginning sound to make a new CVC word and write each sound in the boxes. The first sound goes on the first box, the medial sound goes in the second box and the ending sound goes in the last box.
When they are done, they go back and read the words and see how the words rhyme!
When they are done, they clean the card and pick another to do.
