This worksheet is "Conversational Solfege" (Feierabend) style: students read rhythms in 4/4 and copy them into the space below the example.
Then, I have added a checklist underneath that students can check off after they complete it. (They give themselves a grade out of 5 in the "s" column and then I give them a grade out of 5 in the "t" column).
Pre-teaching of the parts of a music note: notehead, stem, flag, beam.
This could either work as a part of a sub plan, an activity at a center, or you could use it for early finishers. It's not the most exciting activity, but it's perfect for reinforcing notational skills.
