This match the beats rhythm game is a fun way to practice rhythm and note/rest values! This fun game works for ANY class size and students love moving around the room to find their partner. Also included is an ideas for use page that has other uses for this deck of printable rhythm cards.

How to play:
Students will LOVE this game because they get to move around and help each other find partners – they are highly motivated! It’s unlike your normal band activity and the change of pace makes it memorable!
If you’re not familiar with this game, it’s very simple to teach. Each student gets a card with a different note value or number on it. They find a partner who has the matching note value or number. Ex. half note card must find the 2 card.
DETAILED instructions (with pictures) are included along with a number of ways to SIMPLIFY the game and a number of ways to make it more CHALLENGING. The instructions are written to work with any of our “Find a Partner” games – beats, melody, symbols or terms.
This introductory set includes cards for
Quarter, Half, Dotted Half and Whole Notes & Rests
Double and single eighth notes, single eighth rest and dotted quarter note.
This set includes 12 sets matching of cards (24 cards total). They can be printed in full color or, to save ink, you may print them in “greyscale.”
