This is a 32 slide resource (including title/ credit pages) intended for the general Elementary music classroom. It includes rhythm pattern practice for the quarter, eighth, rest, half, and sixteenth notes for all grade levels. You will need a projector and preferably an interactive whiteboard for these lessons. There are also printables included in the set.
This set can be used as a stand alone lesson, a resource for assessment, or a “time filler” at the end of class. In a stand alone lesson, I would allow each student to come to the board to write in one of the rhythms or draw a rhythm to the correct paint pattern and then practice the given rhythms on hand held percussion or in the drum circle. The rhythms are broken into sets so that you can chose the appropriate rhythm sequences for the grade level you plan to have that day. If you do not have and interactive board, you can use the printable pages at the end of this set or project the slides onto a whiteboard. I hope you enjoy!
