What educators are saying

Fantastic resource for my students. Good as a single activity for Rhythm reading and performance as well as in a station lesson, creating variety and engagement for all my students.
Used this with my gains classroom. They were able to follow along on the smart board. They felt proud to be able to read music!

Description

I'm always looking for rhythm stick activities that are fun and engaging. Reading simple icons for ta and titi students can play through this entire activity. Designed for students who are just learning to read ta, titi and sh (quarter notes, barred eighth notes and quarter rest), this activity works perfectly as a workstation.

Included in this download: 6 pages (4 measures on each page) of rhythms, a chart that shows what the icons mean, a task card to use in the workstation and suggestions for using this product.

Although this is set up as a workstation, I often use it with my whole class by projecting it onto my whiteboard.
