This is a fun, new way to play the poison rhythm game with your students. Using one of the two MP4 files included in this file, your students will practice their rhythm reading skills as well as decode the dreaded poison rhythm. In addition to reading, saying and clapping the patterns, your students can also play the patterns on instruments, such as recorders.
This file contains the original game, with one game in traditional notation and one game in stick notation without note heads. For the best value please consider the Rhythm Wars Bundled Set
. It contains MP4 files for ALL the rhythmic elements in 5 different tempos of games, as well as two tempos of poison games and interactive PDF games for preparation for the MP4 files. Also included in the bundle are flashcards for preparation and practice of patterns that are in the games.
Directions on how to play this game and how to use it with your students are include. The file comes with two MP4 files: in one the rhythm is written in plain stick notation. In the other, is an identical game but the rhythms are written with note heads.
