This fun, game-based activity consolidates students' aural recognition of fundamental note values: crotchet, quaver pair, semiquaver group and crotchet rest.
This resource contains 20 individual student Rhythm Bingo Cards (size A4) and 36 teacher Rhythm Slips.
Randomly select one of the teacher Rhythm Slips and perform that rhythm using hand drums, body percussion or a variety of untuned percussion instruments to keep things interesting!
When a student has heard all of the rhythms on his or her Rhythm Bingo Card, they shout 'BINGO' or a music-related word of your choice. Check their Rhythm Bingo Card against the used Rhythm Slips to confirm accurate rhythm identification.
A high-energy activity that hones student focus and sharpens their rhythm identification and notation reading skills. It can easily be played for the full duration of a lesson or used as a 'brain-break' to re-engage students.
