This file contains lily pads for the short and long vowel sounds and 80 frog pictures for sorting by the short and long middle vowel sounds. Place the lily pads in a pocket chart or on a flat surface. Put the frogs in a container. Students pick a frog, name the picture and identify the vowel sound in the word. Then students place the frog under or on the lily pad with the matching vowel. A great Literacy Workstation or Reading Center. Students can work independently or in small cooperative reading groups.
