Do some of your students have sticky fingers? I created this mini-lesson for myself and teachers in my building to use as a companion to the book Ricky Sticky Fingers. Stealing is a common problem in elementary classrooms and self-talk is a helpful tool for combatting this and other issues related to impulse control.

Lesson includes:

• Discussion questions to use with “Ricky Sticky Fingers”
• Four “tempting” scenarios with examples of self-talk to avoid the temptation, typed out as scripts and also in PPT (click “Preview” to watch)
• Exit ticket to check for mastery
