This is a fun book to make. I use this to teach details with my Journeys Animal Groups. However, this can be used anytime throughout the year with any lesson. You could use this with characters or setting. The students write three clues (details) on the front of the envelope and they put their answer inside the envelope.
Pg. 3-4 Clue paper – glue this to the front of each envelope
Pg. 5-6 Title – glue this to the front of your book – there is a page for animal riddles and a more generic page that can be used to go along with any theme
Pg. 7 Answer Cards – these get placed inside the envelopes with the answer written on them
Take 4 to 6 envelopes, cut a front cover and a back cover out of construction paper that is a ½ inch taller and wider than your envelopes – staple the front and back cover with your envelopes in between (make sure your envelopes are open when you staple and staple it in the middle and bottom so that the envelopes can open easily)
Have the students cut and glue the paper into the book and fill out!
