Use this activity to develop students' correct use of adjectives. The pack comes with adjectives cards for color, size, shape, and texture that you can introduce and practice before making riddles. The riddle worksheet is on the final page. It folds in half so students can write clues (using adjectives) and draw and write the answer on the inside. Riddle topics include a person, a thing, a food, and a wild card (their choice).
I used this activity in a multi-level adult ESL classroom. It would also be appropriate for beginning to intermediate ESL students in high school, middle school, or elementary school.
