Product Description

Concepts Covered: Inverse trigonometry ratios (sine, cosine, and tangent) are used to find the missing angle of a right triangle. The foldable is breaks down the process into 3 different flaps of the foldable. the 1st flap has the students label their triangle to identify the Hypotenuse, Opposite side, and Adjacent side in relation to the reference angle. In the 2nd flap they are then asked to write out the reference angle (theta), the lengths of the hypotenuse, opposite, and adjacent side, and then identify the trig ratio that should be used. The 3rd flap is to actually set up their equation to solve for the missing angle. The last flap in the foldable has the students apply inverse trig to the concept of road grades in the real world.
