I taught this the day before I introduced the Pythagorean theorem. It ensures that students are ready for the labeling of a, b, and c.
This is great for inquiry, as students are expected to answer the true false questions provided below the triangles. Afterwards, some guided problems are present so students can practice labeling with a, b, and c.
I had the students rewrite the "true" statements in their interactive notebooks.
The second page is some cutouts I used for interactive notebooks and activities later in the unit that required students to have right triangles stored in their interactive notebook.
