This document contains my notes for introducing Trig to my Geometry classes. SOHCAHTOA is also introduced. There is a section in my notes to fill in a mneumonic to remember SOHCAHTOA. In high school, I was taught to remember "some old hippie caught a high trippin' on acid," so that is what I teach my students as well. It may be borderline inappropriate, but trust me when I say, they will never forget it. You can choose to incorporate a different mneumonic instead.
Also included in this document is my step-by-step approach to solving for missing sides and angles. I call it the "little man approach." My students seem to really understand this method. Normally, if they forget what to do, all I have to say is "draw your little man..." and they can take it from there.
