I created this activity for my own sixth grade classroom and my students loved that they could move around, play a game, and learn at the same time. The sometimes dry topic of rivers, streams, and how they shape the Earth can be challenging to keep students engaged in. So I created this activity to keep them interested!
This is a pdf document to create a scavenger hunt for your students on the topics of rivers and streams. You will get the clues, answers, and directions. All you have to do is print, cut, and hide your clues!
The materials you need for this activity are timers, glue, pencils, textbooks or other resource materials, and a space that you don't mind students moving around in.
You can also use the questions and answers in a matching activity so that students do not need to go search for clues or as an "I have, who has?" game format.
