All of my Road Map files correspond to the McGraw-Hill Wonders Reading curriculum materials for grade 4. The reading comprehension strategy, skill, genre, and vocabulary strategy are incorporated into the questions presented on each unit and week’s road map. The road map with response sheet is used as students read the week’s Readers Writers Workshop featured story. This can be done whole group, small group, partners, or independent. As students follow the road map, they are aware of the page and paragraph to read followed immediately by a written response. Printed 2-sided, this is an easy print and copy job to prepare for student use. It is a very engaging way to read and write helping students stay on course and practice the skills taught. I hope you find each week’s road map a useful way to respond to reading!
