Product Description
No paper. No locks. No materials. No prep. Totally digital.

I hope your students will enjoy working through this digital breakout. This breakout focuses on sixth grade standards with ratios and proportional relationships (6.RP.1, 6.RP.2, and 6.RP.3 a,b,c,d). Students will work with the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities, understand the concept of a unit rate, and use ratio and rate reasoning to solve real-world and mathematical problems.

Students will discover links to interactive worksheets which they need to solve to find the keys to each of six different locks. This breakout will take approximately 45 minutes depending on the level of your students. Some may finish sooner and others may not finish completely. No matter how far they get, they will all be challenged and have fun at the same time. This is a great breakout to do for homework or as a review activity. Students can work individually or in groups and they love the competition. There are so many ways to use the breakout.

Teacher and students need a free Google account to be able to make copies of the Google forms and slides. Be sure your district has not blocked Google.

Breakouts are a great way to engage students and work on the four Cs (collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking) while practicing their ratio and proportional relationship skills.

Instructions, answer keys, hint cards and a Certificate of Breakout are included.
