Road to Revolution Note Review Written Reflection Questions
*Use your notes from class to answer the following questions (2 points will be awarded for each question that provides a thoughtful response that demonstrates historical knowledge.)
1.Compare British Parliament to the United States government today- explain how they are alike?
2. How would you and your parents react if President Trump passed a quartering act today for U.S. Soldiers? Explain.
3.Why was King George III passing all the new taxes?
4. Explain in your own words-what is taxation without representation- why do think this angered the colonists so much?
5.Given the circumstances of this time period we studying -would you have joined the Sons of Liberty- why or why not?
6. What was the first violent outbreak before the war started?
7. Put yourself in King George’s fancy royal shoes- explain how you would be feeling when you received word about the Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, and Sons of Liberty? Remember these are your people- this your colony- you defended them in the French Indian War.
