Description

Students identify ways to persevere when obstacles try to prevent them from completing their goals with this success skills game. Teach perseverance by overcoming life's roadblocks and reach the finish line (complete a goal). Includes a digital version for Google Slides Distance Learning.

This activity takes about 30-40 minutes to complete with a small group. The goal is for students to identify ways to persevere when an obstacle gets in their way of completing a goal.

Includes:

►Activity description including instructions/walk-through of activity, objectives, materials, guiding questions, ASCA standards alignment, and SEL competencies.

►1 page listing the "Driver Tips" (strategies to use to overcome obstacles).

►1 page of Driver Tip Tokens (students earn these when they successfully use a tip in the game).

►1 page of Game Instructions.

►6 pages (48 cards) Road Block game cards.

►4 pages (32 cards) Detour game cards.

►1 page of blank roadblock cards (to make your own).

►1 page of blank detour cards (to make your own).

►1 page of Game Board format setup guide (to help you put the board together, it prints on 4 separate pages, and you glue/tape them together).

►1 page of Game pieces (race cars).

►Black and white versions included!

▶️What mode should I use this in google slides?

This product is meant to be used in "edit" mode (not "presentation" mode). Edit mode is the only mode that allows drag & drop and writing in text boxes.
