PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson activity uses Roald Dahl's brilliant and compelling short story "The Hitch-Hiker" (available online and in several collections). Students should be familiar with the text (see other lesson activities available). It is based on one of the excellent sentence-composing approaches developed by Killgallon and Killgallon.

Once students have completed the narrative paragraph, they can immediately apply their new awareness of structure in their own creative writing, using the terrific stimulus image of two men being pursued by an elephant.
