PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Creative, fun activity to use when learning about the lost colony of Roanoke and the eventual settlement of the United States.

Could be used for formative assessment or as a prompt for creative writing.

Students use their imaginations and their creative/artistic side to finish the 'broken' artifact to show what it would have been and how it could have contributed to the disappearance of Roanoke.

They finish it by writing about what the artifact would have been and what it would have been used for.

Some examples past students have done: a gun- defense, pottery, Native American tools, a piece of treasure
