This Prezi is an extensive study of Robert Frost’s poetry. I have used Jay Parini’s biography and The Robert Frost Encyclopedia and Frost’s journals as my sources. This prezi begins by reviewing important elements dealing with Frost’s poetic theories from his letters and speeches, then goes into analysis of the collections and then the poems (listed below).

Readings (Collection: Poems):
A Boy’s Will (1913): “Into My Own” / “Rose Pogonias” / “Mowing”/ “Reluctance”
Mountain Interval (1916): “Range Finding” / “Out, Out—”
New Hampshire (1923): “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening” / “For Once,
Then, Something” / “A Brook in the City”
West-Running Brook (1928): “Once by the Pacific” / “Acquainted with the Night”
A Further Range (1936): “Desert Places” / “Design” (“In White”)
A Witness Tree (1942): “Silken Tent” / “Never Again Would Birds’ Song be the Same”

Readings (Supplementary):
Letters to John T. Bartlett (1913)
“The Figure a Poem Makes” Preface to Collected Poems, 1939
“The Unmade Word: Fetching and Far-Fetching” Browne and Nichols School Lecture, 1918
“The Constant Symbol” Atlantic Monthly, 1946
“Education by Poetry” Amherst Alumni Council Address, 1930

I have used this with my IB English A: Literature HL course to introduce and study Frost in preparation for our IOC (part 2 works). The Prezi format is appealing to students.
