Prepping for state tests doesn't have to be scary!
Doing this activity packet with my reading classes each week has helped my students feel so much better about the upcoming state tests. I hope it helps calm your students' fears, too!

This file contains State Testing practice using "Roberto Clemente: Pride of the Pittsburg Pirates" by Jonah Winters in Journeys Unit 1 Lesson 5. There are a total of 11 student pages to be used as an assessment over reading comprehension or practice for the state test. All questions have been created using questions from the Ohio 3rd Grade ELA State Test to practice for comprehension.

To use this packet, read the story with your students. (Don't have the book? Search on youtube to play them as a read aloud for your class!) Then, use the pages to answer comprehension questions about the story. This can be completed together, in groups, or as an individual assessment.
