This project allows students to create a robot head, two arms, two legs and a robot body using the grid/graph paper. I usually copy the grid paper on gray construction paper. Then, they glue the robot head, two arms, two legs and the robot body on to the "Robot Arrays" paper. Last but not least, they go back and write a multiplication problem for each body part and find the second multiplication problem by using commutative property.
This is an excellent activity to use after teaching arrays and multiplication properties.
