My students absolutely LOVE this robot craft!
I created this robot craft to use during our past, present, future unit. I usually read the story, Benjamin McFadden and the Robot Babysitter, to introduce the idea of the future. I then give students the opportunity to create their very own robot craft.. As a writing extension, I also have students write a narrative about the robot they created. When writing their narrative, students identify their robot's name and describe all of the different things that their robot can do as a robot of the future.
Directions: Copy a class set for your students on regular printer paper. Have students color and decorate their robot any way that they'd like to. Students will then cut out the different parts of the robot and connect each letter with it's matching letter using a paper fastener. I have attached an example of my robot for you to show your students.
