This is a two-page printable worksheet. One page is an informational text (approximately 600 words long) describing the three main types of rock and how they are formed. The second page has a diagram showing the rock cycle and also a crossword covering key terms which are highlighted in bold within the text.
There are twelve clues total, for example:
Clue: Rain, wind, and oxidation are examples of this.
Clue: Type of rock formed when magma cools and solidifies.
Clue: A scientist who studies rocks.
This is great way to introduce kids to the rock cycle or to recap after studying it.
