No-prep lab activity!!
Love labs, but hate when they get out of control? Then this is definitely the PowerPoint for you. Students partake in a lab, simulating the rock cycle using sugar cubes and various household items. This is a great way to combine student-centered learning with structure.
The PowerPoint starts off with a quick recap of the types of rock before giving you (and your class) a slide listing out the materials that will be used. The actual lab experiment is a total of seven steps, each step being its own PPT slide so that you can ensure all students are on track. I personally love labs but hate when students don't take away the key points from the activity so I embedded the key questions after each respective step (answers are included). This is a great way to get students back together to discuss how it relates to the content, and ensures they don't get too wild.
Check out my Lab Activity Bundle to combine 6 of my top selling labs and save 45%!! This is a great deal that you and your students will enjoy!
