This Animated Step-by-Step guides students through the rules of the Rock, Paper, Scissors Game. First the hand signs are introduced, followed by the rules (rock beats scissors … scissors beats paper … paper beats rock ) and finally three practice runs each providing increasingly fewer visual clues. The three sessions include: 1. Labeled picture/symbol paired with labeled hand sign, 2. labeled hand sign and 3. hand signs with no labels (most similar to the real world game. Each click presents another pair to score. Remote switch access is especially engaging for students. Please visit the Animated Step-by-Steps® blog for further information on remote access.
This resource works best on an interactive whiteboard, allowing you to use the pen tool to to keep score. The process of keeping score becomes a math activity as students must tally the marks and determine who is the overall winner.
Similar to the I Spy With My Little Eye, Beat the Clock, CVC Mystery Balls Games this title is designed to lay the groundwork for some peer-to-peer interactions.
