Do you have your students bring rock samples from home during your rock unit? Do you wonder what to do with the rocks once they are in your classroom? I did! I would set up a gallery of rock samples, and students would walk around making observations, but there was no organization and no accountability! I created this little resource to guide my students through scientific observations about their rocks ( no more, "It looks cool!).
