This is a simple worksheet that is setup for students to sort objects into categories. It can be modified to work for upper grades.

SKE2. Students will describe the physical attributes of rocks and soils.
a. Use senses to observe and group rocks by physical attributes such as large/small, heavy/light, smooth/rough, dark/light, etc.
c. Recognize earth materials— soil, rocks, water, air, etc.
APPLK1 Curiosity
(a) Asks questions.
(c) Seeks help when needed.
APPLK3 Attention
(a) Pays attention.
(b) Demonstrates increasing task persistence.
(c) Displays motivation/enthusiasm for learning.
