Rock Star Race games are a big hit in classrooms. All you need is a 6 sided die and 2 Crayons (different colors). The goal of the game is to review and practice language arts skills in a fun and engaging game. These games can be used in RTI groups, small groups, or partner play.
This packet includes:
-to, two, and too (3)
-there, their, and they're (3)
-singular, plural, and possessive (5)
-subject and predicate (5)
-elements of a story (4)
-idioms, metaphors, and similes (8)
Game Goal: To capture and color as many stars as possible.
Directions for the game:
-Player One rolls the die. He/She should find that number on the game board and color one square. BEFORE he/she can color the square , the item/phrase/word must be read out loud. Player One should start at the bottom of his/her game board.
-Next, Player Two takes a turn (and does the same as above).
-As soon as a square touches/borders a star, that player can color it.
-If a 6 is rolled, you skip a turn (or roll again) where applicable.
-The player with the most colored stars at the end of the game wins!
