Catch ‘em being good! Here’s a simple yet meaningful reward system with a rockin’ theme sure to get the attention of your students this year!
This resource includes full size posters to display on a bulletin board, around your room, or to be used as focus anchors when introducing the expected Rock Star Behaviors. The posters are in both full color and grayscale and will make a great accompaniment to my Rock Star Student cards, which reward eight ways to be a Rock Star student every day in class. Award them as you see fit. Students collect them, and after a time period determined by you and your class, can win a VIP invitation to an award celebration.
Your award celebration can be anything from the very simple to an elaborate red-carpet event. Some award celebrations my team has used in the past have been a movie, a read in your pajamas half day, an extra recess, an ice cream or pizza treat, or a shopping spree in our class store. Students receive a VIP pass when they have collected all eight Rock Star cards. They use the pass when it is time for a celebration. For more ideas for your celebration, be sure to downoad my free resource: Rock Star Student Awards. I also have a blog post about this year’s celebration!
Also included in this resource, eight full color and grayscale posters with descriptions of the eight expected behaviors. Students glue their cards to a similar data notebook page in the original Rock Star Students resource. Bonus included here: a poster version of the VIP ticket to your Rock Star event. Print it on gold card stock. (You can buy a single sheet or a pack at most office supply stores.)
Look forward to a great year of learning with the rockin’ great behaviors this system will bring to your learning community!
Although this resource can certainly stand alone as a bulletin board set in your classroom, I really recommend the original Rock Star Students resource and the free Rock Star Student Awards as a way to make your total reward system complete.
