Need some fun fraction practice? This is a rockstar-themed game for two students to practice adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators and simplifying their answers. Students take turns choosing a problem, solving the problem on a recording sheet, and marking off the answer on the game board. The first player to mark off three answers that are in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally is the winner. There are 25 problems on the game board. Twenty-three of the answers must be simplified.
Print and laminate this activity, supply students with answer sheets and dry-erase markers, and the game is ready for students to start using. This activity will work well as a math center, as a game for early finishers, and as extra practice during remediation time. A student recording sheet and a teacher answer key are included.
