Give your students a little extra practice so that they become fraction rockstars with this fun Three in a Row game.
**Print & laminate the Game Board & Problem Sheet for students. Each student will need a copy of the recording sheet to show her/his work and a dry erase marker.
**Directions: Student A chooses an improper fraction from the Problem Sheet, marks it out with a dry erase marker, changes it to a mixed number, and covers it up on the Game Board. Student B does the same. Play continues until a player has covered three mixed numbers in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. There is an answer sheet for teachers to use to check student work.
The game board contains 25 problems. Several of the answers need to be put in simplest terms.
**These games are fun to use as centers, as extra practice for remediation, and as review before testing.
