Learn place values from with rocket ships and planets!
Instructions: Laminate the following pages. Cut out the space rockets and paste them on tongue depressors (for tens) and ice cream sticks (for ones). They will fit perfectly. Color the tip of the sticks with red paint or marker. Next, cut out the planets from numbers 10-29. You may also choose to let children do this as a simple cutting and pasting work.
How to play: Children will pick out a planet and provide the correct number of tens and ones according to the number indicated. You may write down the answer at the back of the number planets for self-correction.
