This fun play is for kids 6-12 years old. It has a cast of 13 girls (which can be reduced) and 6 boys. The girls are having a slumber party where they begin to look at yearbooks from their grandmother's era, 1955. They discover a treasure chest of items from 1955 and somehow they go back in time finding themselves dressed in poodle skirts and saddle shoes. The brothers get involved by trying at first to sabotage their party, but soon decide to join them in this "back to the future" fun by becoming 1950's rock stars. Lots of fast-moving fun, chances for each character to shine, and a time to really learn to express themselves and develop a character. I have been writing plays for kids for 22 years, and this is a really fun one to put on. I've put it on twice with amazing responses from kids and parents. Included: script (40 min), audition lines, character descriptions, music needed, words for music, props, sets, costumes, and plot.
