Product Description
6 Christmas Math Stations.

Sweet Missing Addends: Match the missing addend equation to the correct addend candy jar. Record your answers on the recording sheet.

Commutative Property: Mix up the cards and put them in a pile in the middle. Deal each player 5 cards.
Players are looking for commutative pairs
(i.e. 2 + 3 = 5 and 3 + 2 = 5)
Player 1 picks a card in their hand. Player 1 asks
Player 2 if they have the turn around fact. If Player 2 has
it, he gives it to player 1, who then puts his pair down and goes again. If Player 2 does not have the turn around fact , he tells Player 1 Ho Ho Ho. Player 1 takes a card from the pile. If the card is a turn around fact that matches one in his hand, he goes again. If it does not match, his turn is over and it is Player 2’s turn. The game ends when one player has no cards left in their hand.

What's True Under the Christmas Tree: Students will create a balanced equation by matching a subtraction Christmas tree to the addition present. Record answers on the recording sheet.

Blitzen's Reindeer Games: Students will determine if the toys, candy and cookies from Santa’s workshop are split equally or are unequal.

Christmas Eve Mix Up: Help Santa deliver the presents to the correct chimney. Match expanded form Santa to the correct base ten chimney. Complete the recording sheet after matching the cards correctly.

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night: Scoot! Students will travel from desk from desk to practice balancing equations. Give each student a task card and a recording sheet. Students will start at their own desks and answer the problem on their task card and write the answer in the corresponding box on the recording sheet. When the teacher is finished he/she will say Scoot! And students will move to the next desk. Continue until each student gets back to their own desk.
