Rockin' Rainbow Shape Game is a fun and engaging math game for Kindergarten to grade 3 students. Students will practice naming and identifying 2D shapes. With a choice of three spinners it is easy to differentiate for your weaker students and your stronger students. The shapes included are triangle, circle, square, rectangle, pentagon, oval, star, diamond and heart. This game is quick and easy to put together and the children will enjoy playing it over and over.
-gameboard color version and black and white version
-choices of three spinners
-Play in pairs. Students decide who goes first. I usually say the tallest student goes first or the shortest or the student with the longest hair.
-Place the pegs on start.
-Player 1 spins the spinner and moves to the close shape on the board that they spun.
-If a player lands on the start of a rainbow they follow the rainbow forward.
-Variation: If a player lands on the start of a rainbow they follow the rainbow forward and if they land on the end of a rainbow the player follows the rainbow backwards.
-Player 2s turn.
-Players may land on the same shape.
-Play continues until one or all the players land on the pot of gold.
-The pot of gold has all the shapes on it so whichever shape the player spins they can land on the pot of gold.
Print on 81/2 11 paper.
