Product Description
In this activity, students practice the scientific inquiry skill of predicting. First, they make a model of sediments carried in a river with sand, pebbles and water. Then they predict what would happen if gravel was added. Teacher instructions, scoring rubric, recording pages, and a writing page are included in this lesson packet.
This lesson is in the green book Rising to the Challenge of the National Science Education Standards, also sold on this website. This is lesson six that will also be available for purchase in a packet of nine process skill lessons on rocks.
