This activity is a favorite among my students and was designed to relate rocks and minerals to a middle school or high school student. Basically the student or group of students research a specific place made out of natural rocks and minerals (for example Stonehenge) and produce an i-movie (or any video software) to teach the other students about their topic. When you purchase this product, you will receive a complete list of places to choose from, the specific questions that need to be answered throughout the presentation and a grading rubric. This activity is very versatile and can be adapted for every level of student. I particularly like how this project brings out the creativity and “techie” skills of those students who usually do not excel in academics.
