Starting a new unit in Science is always a daunting task, you’re excited and so are your students.
Title Pages have been around for years, but they can often be bland and boring- Students do not know what to draw at the beginning of the unit and are often unmotivated to fill in their title pages with fun, colorful pictures.
Now students can design a “I-Spy” title page. Students will engage with content that’s new to them by drawing images that relate to the upcoming unit. When they have completed their task, they can swap title pages with a friend to find the object hidden in their page. Students enjoy this activity and it motivates them to think about their title pages and put more effort into their work.
This makes a great, engaging introduction to your unit.
