Product Description
The year is 494 B.C.E. and your students live in ancient Rome. Your students are the leaders of the plebeians, a group of lower-class citizens who make up about 95% of the population of Rome. Even though your students are in the majority in terms of population size, they are a minority in terms of political rights. Your students want the plebeians to rebel against the patricians since they think the plebeians deserve political rights and equality. Your students will write a pep talk to the plebeians to motivate them and will present it to the class.
