I created this to help the 1st graders that I work with. But it has proved to be beneficial to some 2nd graders too. (of course, if you have kindergarteners who are ready to move faster, these would be good for them too. )
When your child plays these games they will be improving their fact fluency too!
This is a March set with color pictures. If you'd like a set in black and white, click here: Black and White
Students will learn to recognize the numbers on a dice, ten frame, the written name for the number, and the written number by playing this game over and over. It's a great game for centers or independent work.
The students each have their own board and a set of markers that could be beans, mini erasers, locking cubes, or whatever you have handy.
They share 2 dice so they learn to take turns. Once they roll the dice, they add the two dice together, then they locate the matching number, number word, or ten frame and then cover it with their marker.
In each game when they get 5 in a row, they win. But actually everyone who plays is a winner because they are getting smarter with recognition.
There are 10 different cards for connecting to the numbers, words, and ten frames for a total of 30 different boards.
