Looking for a fun and interactive way for students to write poems? Use this one sheet writing activity. Students roll dice (I used the giant inflatable ones from Target, but any will do) to call the shots of their poem.
They roll four times to determine the number of lines they must write, type of figurative language to use, rhyme scheme, and number of syllables to use per line. This is a great way to engage students who are reluctant to write poetry!
