Do you have students with limited vocabulary skills? Do you have older students who still have difficulty with rhyming? Do you have students who are poor spellers? Are you jumping up and down while yelling, "YES?" Then Roll-A-Rhyme is ideal for your classroom.
Roll-A-Rhyme is a fun and unique way to practice rhyming and spelling skills. The cards contain 40 different rimes. Students roll a die to determine the number of rhyming words they need to give. If a one is rolled, then the student gives one rhyming word from the word family. If a two is rolled, then the student gives two rhyming words and so on. A sheet of beginning sounds is provided. Give a copy of this page to each student, if needed.
Possible answers are provided. Save your colored ink and print these pages in black and white.
Roll-A-Rhyme is a great classroom game for individuals, small groups, and large groups. Students can take turns drawing cards and rolling die. Answers can be stated aloud or written down. A Write-A-Rhyme page is provided for students to write their rhyming words. Students can work individually or in groups. Great as a quick activity for the end of the day.
